DOWNPIPE
Downpipes are an important part of the drainage system in any home, and this is especially true in New Zealand. Heavy rains are a regular occurrence in many parts of the country, so having a well-functioning downpipe system is essential to keeping your home dry and protecting your foundation from water damage.
There are a few things to keep in mind when choosing downpipes for your home. To make sure that the pipes you select are the correct size for your gutters. Downpipes can be supplied in PVC White (or selected colours) in Marley Plastic Downpipe. Or Colorsteel pipes in a variety of colorsteel colours, if you are wanting to match in with Spouting, roof or joinery.
FASCIA
The fascia is the board that runs along the edge of your roof, and it provides support for your guttering. They hold your guttering in place and provide a lip for the rainwater to flow into. Fascias also protect the underside of your roof from the weather.
It is important to ensure that your fascia is in good condition, as it can become rotten and unstable if it is not maintained.
Multi-fit fascia protect your fasica boards from weather damage, while enhancing the aesthetic of your home at the same time.

GUTTERING MATERIALS
Colorcote
ColorCote produce pre-painted steel and aluminium roofing and cladding products specifically manufactured in New Zealand for New Zealand conditions.
- AlumiGard: ColorCote use a marine grade aluminium alloy substrate, painted with a polyester primer, and add a waterborne acrylic or polyester baked-on top coat. AlumiGard is designed for use in very severe marine environments, right up to the waterline, or for acidic exposure in geothermal areas.
- MagnaFlow: A steel roof is most susceptible to corrosion along cut edges, however the magnesium in the coating of MagnaFlow helps it to ‘self heal’ by helping zinc to flow over the edge and create a seal against further corrosion. With superior corrosion resistance, MagnaFlow is the ideal choice for demanding environments such as houses close to the coast.
- ZinaCore: Suitable for moderate climatic environments, ZinaCore has a hot-dipped aluminium/zinc alloy coated steel substrate. It has a water-borne or polyester top coat baked on a polyester primer, giving an extremely durable paint system that resists UV damage and provides excellent gloss and colour retention.
Colorsteel
- COLORSTEEL Endura® is designed to provide protection against corrosion in areas where moderate to severe environmental conditions are experienced. It is the most popular COLORSTEEL® choice, a product which can be seen on homes, businesses and buildings right around the country. COLORSTEEL Endura® is made tough, yet forsakes nothing when it comes to aesthetic appeal, boasting a large range of colours and profiles. High quality, low maintenance and durable, COLORSTEEL Endura® represents the perfect blend of form and function.
- COLORSTEEL Maxx® is designed to provide protection against corrosion in areas where severe to very severe environmental conditions are experienced. Every aspect of COLORSTEEL Maxx® is made with corrosion resistance and longevity in mind. Specifically developed to withstand higher atmospheric salt concentrations. The usage of COLORSTEEL Maxx® is determined by your property’s proximity to the coast, geothermal areas and industrial environments.
- COLORSTEEL Altimate® combines a marine grade aluminium substrate with the proven paint technology of COLORSTEEL®. The aluminium substrate delivers exceptional resistance to corrosion, while the COLORSTEEL® paint system offers further protection and a premium finish. Ideal for extremely severe environments, the usage of COLORSTEEL Altimate® is determined by your property’s proximity to the coast, geothermal areas and industrial environments.
- COLORSTEEL Dridex® helps to create warmer, drier and healthier New Zealand homes. It combines a thin layer of a specialised absorbent fleece to the underside of the COLORSTEEL® sheet, negating the need for traditional underlay roofing and cladding paper. COLORSTEEL Dridex® works to help reduce mould and other pollutants associated with asthma and other respiratory tract inflammations and allergies, being awarded the Sensitive Choice by the National Asthma Council, giving homeowners reassurance that they have the right product for a warmer, drier and healthier home.
